I'm seeking experts in supply chains and the vendor incentives connected to them. I can't say too much here. Please contact me for more information if you're interested.
I'm following the Dollar's slide against the Euro. I'm curious what it all means for small business owners, especially those who do a lot of importing. Prices they pay for supplies will surely increase, but are there other risks as well? In other news, Howard Stern is predicting the death of the FCC, and Hardee's just unveiled a 1,400-calorie monster burger. Ok, back to work...

Thanks for submitting story ideas. I am reading all of them. I appreciate the leads.
On another work-related note, I'm seeking experts on the American with Disabilities Act (ADA). Please contact me for further details.
I came across this link. I must admit I'm intrigued by what passes for professional attire these days (see point #8), especially for network news anchors.
It looks like time might be running out on business tax write offs for large SUVs. And for totally useless news (of which we all need some), a Beatles song has been voted worst song of all time, even beating out one of Meatloaf's efforts. Looks like The Beatles aren't infallable after all. Sorry, Baby Boomers. In your honor, I will now listen to "The Ballad of John and Yoko," one of my favorites.

Wow. People actually read my blog, because I'm hearing from you. It will encourage me to keep this page updated!
As I mentioned, I'm seeking story ideas. Anything trendy that might affect small businesses in 2005 is welcome. Just a few areas I'm interested in (as they affect small companies) include the following:
* venture capital
* supply chain managament
* management ethics
* employment law policy changes (OSHA and EEOC)
* workplace management (how managers can manage employees more effectively)
I'll start posting links to stories soon. But first, I have to remember how to post a link. So sad, really...

I'm getting back to work and I'm mulling some story ideas. This is a good time to send me your ideas about trends in marketing, employment, supply chain management, or anything else business related that's on your minds. More soon...

Yes, it's been a long while since I posted anything new. But I think I have a good excuse: I had my first child over the summer and, well, I've been on maternity leave and a bit distracted. Let's just say that songs such as the Barenaked Ladies' "Who Needs Sleep?" are on my short list lately. It's been a strange, but exciting year. I'm getting back into the swing of things and will start posting more regularly. Just thought I'd come in a dust off the cobwebs that have taken over my blog.
