I'm getting started on a story about entrepreneurial wannabes looking to enter hot markets including the pet industry, the plus-size clothing market and the senior market. I'm looking for statistics, experts in these areas and entrepreneurs of fledgling companies that are targeting these industries. I'll also be discussing a few other industries, but I don't want to list them here. Please contact me for more information if you like. I have more assignments I'll be mentioning soon...

I'm also doing story research in a number of areas. For one, the Supreme Court is considering the role intent plays in age bias lawsuits. I'm seeking a legal expert who can provide me with a quick backgrounder on this issue. What's going on out there, and how might the Supreme Court's ruling affect businesses? Other topics of exploration on my radar right now: patriotism in the workplace; what you can do if you feel your people skills are lacking as the leader of a small company; the pros and cons of hiring an entirely virtual workforce; and how best to manage eggheads/people with Ph.D.s. Again, I'm looking for entrepreneurs who have started companies in these areas as well as industry experts/analysts. All leads are welcome. More to come...

I'm coming up for air finally; it's been a busy few months. I'm working on a number of assignments, including four feature articles. I'm still looking for entrepreneurs to interview for a feature on the topic of selling in 2004. Interested PR people can write me to find out more. I'm hoping to find entrepreneurs to speak with by the end of this week...
